Accounting Associate

This position is responsible for preparing invoices, closing out accounts, assisting with accounts receivable activities, completing subaward requests, submitting narrative and finance reports to sponsors and preparing communications as needed. This position has contact with all staff and significant interaction with sponsors.

Job Description: 
Prepares, compiles and submits all invoices, including gathering all necessary supporting documentation.. Assists with activities such as setting up new accounts by entering budget information into business systems, tracking budget data in the Center’s database, preparing correspondence and project files.. Assists with completing request forms, monitoring overhead costs, preparing financial reports and modification requests and tracking updates in the Center’s database. Prepares quarterly actual and projected spending reports and personnel reports for Principal Investigators.
Desired Skills & Experience: 
Bachelor’s degree or a minimum of five years of relevant experience required. Bachelor’s degree or higher in accounting, business administration, or science preferred. A minimum of two years of relevant experience including budgets, ledgers, invoices and fiscal reporting required. Experience in grants and contracts and/or accounting environments preferred.
